Things You Should Know About North Carolina DUI
- If your blood alcohol content is .08 or greater (.04 or more for commercial vehicle drivers), your driving privileges will automatically be revoked for a minimum of 30 days
- To attempt to avoid the loss of your driving privileges, you have the right to request an administrative hearing with the DMV
- If you are convicted of DUI while your license is revoked for an earlier DUI conviction, the court can order your vehicle seized and eventually sold
- An alcohol concentration restriction is required when a license is reinstated following a suspension for DUI
